RBKC Primary School Games Festival

Wednesday 27th November 2013

OxfordGardensPrimary school took part in the annual sports festival event held at the Westway Centre on the 27th of November. As part of the school games programme, the festival is a celebration of various sports in a competition format.

This year we entered 4 main events:

A selection of yr 5 & 6 children were chosen to represent the school and showcase their talents at the event. Twenty two different Schools from the borough took part in what was an amazing day for our children. All the teams were mixed gender, demonstrating great team work.

The Basketball team finished 2nd out of 22 teams in a very exciting tournament. Our footballers finished 3rd out of 22 teams. Our rugby team had a great run only losing 1 game but the highlight for us was that our Hockey team were congratulated on their sporting conduct and fair play. This is a true reflection of the values and ethics we promote at Oxford Gardens .

Well done everybody!!

Many thanks to Robert , Lorrie and Teresa for managing the teams !
