Prevent strategy at Oxford Gardens

Prevent is part of the national counter-terrorism strategy and aims to stop people being drawn into or supporting terrorism.

The Prevent strand of the strategy focuses on three key areas to:

  1. respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism and the threat from those who promote it
  2. prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and make sure that they’re given appropriate advice and support
  3. work with sectors and institutions where there are risks of radicalisation that we need to address.

By adopting a multi-agency approach to protect and support people at risk from radicalisation, we aim to safeguard children and adults from being drawn into terrorist-related activity and promote positive community cohesion.

E- Safety – Keeping Safe Online

We want your children to be safe online, whether that be in school, at home or another location. They could be playing games, surfing the internet or using their own smartphones but we believe that it is our duty to support you in helping your child make the correct choices. On a regular basis, we will guide the children through assemblies, PSHE and ICT lessons on the dangers of being online as well as its huge benefits.
