Safer Internet Day - Tuesday 9th February 2021

Safer Internet Day is an annual celebration aiming to raise awareness of emerging online issues and concerns amongst young people, from cyberbullying to social networking to digital identity. This year’s theme is: An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world

At the moment, we are using the internet and relying on devices more than ever for learning, fun and communication. The internet has an amazing range of information and opportunities online, but we must remember that not everything can be trusted online. We need to consider what motive and why something is posted/ shared to help us decide whether we can trust it. There is an activity on Seesaw alongside a BBC live lesson and a quiz for KS2 to support this learning.

How can parents help with what to trust online? Watch this clip from UK Safer Internet for some top tips from children.
